Frequently Asked Questions
How old do I have to be?
-
State Law of Alaska requires you/client to be 18 or older, regardless of parental consent. Again, you/the client must be 18 or older.

Do I need an I.D.?
-
Yes. It is required on the day of the tattoo appointment to provide a government issued form of photo identification: either a state issued Driver's License or Passport.

Does it hurt?
-
Yes, but pain is relative. Everyone has a different pain tolerance. Some have compared it to a "Hot, cat scratch feeling." Other terms are "Spicy!" Remember though, if tattoos hurt that bad, people wouldn't get them in the first place.

Is it OK to get my tattoo if I'm sick?
-
No; reschedule your appointment. Getting a tattoo while your immune system is compromised is not a good idea.
-
You're going to need your strength and your white blood cells to heal your tattoo, which your body cannot do if it's already battling against a virus and or bacteria.
-
It is GOOD! to reschedule your appointment if you're sick. I would also prefer NOT to get sick myself! Thank you!
Can I drink alcohol/liquor before I get my tattoo?
-
No! If you appear drunk or intoxicated to me at the time of our scheduled appointment, I will send you home and we will reschedule, forfeiting your deposit for the day of the appointment.
-
Note: Alcohol stays in your blood system for a minimum of 12hrs. Longer depending on a number of variables; the amount consumed, your tolerance, your size, your weight. Alcohol thins your blood, making it harder to tattoo you, as you bleed out the ink. This wastes your time as well as mine.

How do I take care of my tattoo?
-
There is an 'After- Care' section my website with detailed instructions.
-
I'll give instructions the day of the appointment. It's possible I may use a different bandage depending on the tattoo placement, or allergies. If you have further questions, feel free to reach out to me anytime.
-
Keep it clean. Don't don't over moisturize it. Don't over think it.
